Single Review: Dead Sons – Room 54

Words: Tom Walton

Out: June 4

Dead Sons are probably Sheffield’s most exciting band of the moment.

Already holding a fearsome live reputation, latest single, Room 54, has more energy than Michael McIntyre on speed as ferocious riffs and thumping drums blow holes in the entire population of Steels City garages.

It’s dynamic rock at its finest and Dead Sons have a swagger that carries into their music. The guitars wail as if they’re meeting their sexual peak while Tom Rowley’s nonchalant growl adds another facet to the fury.

This is the darkest side of sexy music.
